Look at my beautiful chlamydia!

All the pretty flowers! (Please…click this link so that you can get the joke too.)

Seriously, there are at least 100 blooms on the two plants (one pink, one purple), plus 100 more buds getting ready to bloom.

——————————

Okay, I said I was giving away $25 in Build-a-Bear Bear Bucks, but after reading the entries, I have to award two gift cards. One was chosen at random, and one was chosen because her Build-a-Bear story really got me…right THERE (clasps hands over chest). The first card was donated by Build-a-Bear, and the second card is coming out of my pocket. Build-a-Bear is donating the second card too!

So congratulations to Lora (the randomly drawn winner) and Jenine (the winner whom I just couldn’t leave out)! I’ll email you both soon (unless you email me first).

I’m a huge fan of Clematis, (the pictured flower) a healthy show of it has been known to stop me in my tracks, and even cause me to commit illegal U turns on occasion. Chlamydia however usually sends me running in the opposite direction. But hey, show yours and be proud! ;)

Mine has yet to bloom, but is getting ready… (clematis, that is.)

From HPV straight to chlamydia! I feel like I’m at work.

But those are some seriously vibrant flowers, SO pretty!

  5. Heather Says:

I have a rose-colored clematis like yours. It’s huge, but no where near blooming yet since it has been unseasonably cold so far this Spring here.

You have the most beautiful STD I have ever seen! But, I’d be a little concerned about the 100 buds ‘left to bloom’…

I was going to google ‘chlamydia the flower’ because it just sounded too funny to be true, and then I read the comments. You have very funny commenters. That made my night, so thanks :)

Like everyone who left a comment here—Chlamydia reminds me of an STD. o.o

Anyway, have you tried cultivating delphiniums? I received a seeds (the cherryblossom magic fountain kind)—thought you could give me a tip or two.

Pretty pretty! We had such a beautiful one, and it was lost in our backyard rehab. I guess it should’ve gotten its shots.

I don’t know who you’re sleeping around with to get STDs like that, but next time you head out to the clubs call me and I’ll boogie it up.

When I saw your title and the pics of your flowers, I had to laugh. I planted some of those last year. Am envious over how well your clematis is growing. (Def not envious over that chlamydia. You can KEEP that! heehee.)

Thanks so much, Julie! I thought our story was just me being sentimental and silly on my part. I’m so glad that it touched someone else. And that’s so generous of you to offer an extra card!
