We’re not just the darlings of the advertising world. Now we’re the subject of important academic research too.
I’m nearing the end of the so-called “maternity leave” that I allowed myself after this baby was born. I can’t even really call it maternity leave because I’ve been working the whole time – even while I was still in the hospital – but at about one-quarter of my usual capacity. It’s time to step it back up.
I’ve railed before about the misconception that parenting bloggers have nothing better to do than change diapers and nothing more interesting to discuss than the contents of those diapers. That’s not to say that we’re above potty talk; on the contrary, it can make for pretty good blog fodder. But there’s more to all of us than we let show on our blogs.
My friend Bobita of Blooming Yaya is a great example. She’s a PhD candidate. How in the world she handles everything that she does is beyond me. Now she’s conducting a survey of parenting bloggers for her dissertation, and she needs your help. All you have to do is answer a bunch of questions all about how much you love to blog and how much you love all of your bloggy friends – why wouldn’t you want to participate?
If you’d be willing to help her out by taking the survey (I’ve taken it – quick and easy!), please click here.

I took it – not too time consuming at all. I’d love to see the data when it’s done!

Thank you so much for helping me recruit people. I’m so thrilled with the turnout so far!!
I thought I would share with you how I do it all…usually poorly…and rarely all at once. (Which is why I’m just now collecting data to complete the PhD that I started in 1999!) Better late than never, right?!
Thanks again for your help!

I loved this survey. So fun to take. (Can a survey be fun? I guess this proves so.) I really hope to read her dissertation. Great topic.
