You had to be there

Scene witnessed on the kindergarten playground while peering out the car window after dropping Tacy off yesterday:

Tacy and her friend S approach a boy wearing his cap askew and a black leather jacket with silver zippers.

S holds her hand over the boy’s mouth. Tacy steps close to him, holds up her index finger, and starts talking. When Tacy finishes, S removes her hand, and both girls chase the boy across the playground.

All three of them are laughing, so I laugh too. And because I’m laughing, CJ joins in.

At least two of the five of us don’t get the joke, but that part doesn’t really matter.

I agree. A good laugh, even if you don’t know what you are laughing about goes a long way.

Dude, what kindergartener is wearing a leather jacket with silver zippers!?

I occasionally have trouble getting a word in edgeways in conversations, so I might try that hand over the mouth of the other person idea…

I love me some kindergarten humour. Much better than the sophisticated humour of my ten year old.

    Rolling eyeballs now.

If she was saying things like, “I love you punk rock boy” I would have to say she is her mother’s daughter!! Lock her up now.

Sweet mama, by the sounds of it they were plotting something illegal. Come to think of it, doing something illegal could be quite funny when you are too young to be prosecuted. Kids, sheesh.

Awwww. Yes, those little kindergarten conversations can be quite amusing. Wish you could have actually heard that one.

Too cute. I cannot wait until someone other than mom and dad understand my almost 5 yr old.

And BTW – I have tagged you :)
