Oh noes! Mah bellybutton haz da FEVER!
Okay, I realize that I may very well have a bellybutton abnormality obsession, but would someone else please admit to having had a significantly warmer bellybutton while pregnant? Meaning that the skin of my bellybutton – or what USED to be my bellybutton until it was turned inside out – is noticeably warmer to the touch than the rest of this skin-covered watermelon that I’m hauling around.
Anyone? ANYONE?!

OK – that’s a new one to me. I had a piercing in mine that I didn’t remove until the final month. When I went into triage after my water broke the resident freaked out because he’d never seen three bellybuttons before (yup, an idiot he was and he was not allowed around me for the rest of his shift or my labour).

My bellybutton never popped, in three pregnancies, so I don’t know. And it’s not because I didn’t gain weight or get huge. I did. I just have an abnormally deep bellybutton.

Then again, my button never popped out. It just stretched and stretched and stretched until it pretty much disappeared.

my bellybutton never popped out…so i have no experience with warmer belly buttons…but that sounds, erm, kinda gross.

With two months to go, I haven’t popped yet, and I’m hoping it stays that way. Can’t speak for my belly button, but the rest of me is overheated about 10 degrees constantly. I wish I could sleep in an ice bath.

With my second pregnancy, I was so big my belly button was literally a brown cirlce on my belly, an absolutely flat circle. With the exception of my belly button ring that I refused to remove even though it stuck straight out like a turkey timer. Everyone thought it was my belly button sticking out, but no, I’m a freak, it’s my belly button ring/baby’s done timer! Lol!

Umm, ya, to all you “it never did poppers,” I swear mine popped the night of conception all three times. As for hot skin, I don’t think so, in fact, you may just have give n me something to not bitch about. Between the itching and the moodiness I am one big gripe these days.

I don’t remember my popped belly button being warmer, but I do remember how soft the skin felt. It was kind of weird.

Yes!!! I am 31 weeks (and counting dear Lord)with my 3rd, and I can say I feel abit freaky about this same issue!! I have zero protrusion anymore, it has been stretched out to a flat circle of hotness..
