It’s our problem-free philosophy

My kids may love the tee-vee, but they are most definitely not couch potatoes. They run the circuit, jump on the mini-trampoline, climb up the slide (instead of sliding down), and stage wrestling matches.

And they dance. A lot.

There’s a turntable in the living room where we boogie down to my ancient Grease album. Kyle plays his Rush in Rio DVD whenever he cleans, and he and the girls rock out together. And even if there’s no music, that doesn’t stop CJ from climbing onto the coffee table and wiggling her rear until I sing “Shake shake shake…shake shake shake…shake your booty!” while she beams at me over her shoulder.

By far the most consistent dance routine is Tacy’s rendition of Hakuna Matata. Usually executed before bathtime, she sings and dances until she collapses in giggles, taking me along with her.

Hakuna Matata…it means “no worries”

It’s our problem-free…

…philosophy!

Hakuna Matata, Miss Goosie. May you always dance so freely.

Love it! You know we are ALL about the Lion King here. I was kind of disappointed when my kids figured out the real words instead of singing “it’s our p’oblem-fee … A-LO-SO-PHEEEEE!”
