Blizzardry
It’s a jungle out there.
And it’s STILL SNOWING.
I shoveled that driveway down to pavement last night.
And look what happened overnight.
Rules of appropriate conduct for children have been suspended.
But the man of the house is still hard at work.

Even though we’re warm and cozy (except when we’re shoveling), I can’t help but think of those who aren’t - or who weren’t. Please visit the Kim Family Auction. Even if you can’t afford to bid on the lovely creations there, you can still publicize it on your own site. ‘Tis the season.

Trade ya. Seriously. I would give my left boob for some snow. I would even shovel, happily. Yesterday, I went Xmas shopping in sandals. Even for here, that’s warm. It’s just wrong. Bah-humbug.

Please send some snow to us! I’m really hoping for a white Christmas.

WHOA. The snow is beautiful but I’m sure it gets old after you’ve shoveled it repeatedly!
My girls would freak out with happiness if we had that much snow.

So. Jealous. It’s going to be SEVENTY-FIVE DEGREES on Christmas here. Arrrrgh!
And is there anything sexier than your husband shoveling snow? I mean. Not YOUR husband. The universal “your”. Oh, never mind.
*sheepishly leaving*

Glad you guys are okay and keeping warm. I was concerned when i saw the news.
It’s like 80 degrees here today. Snow looks kind of inviting. Not THAT much snow, of course!
December 21st, 2006 at 2:10 pm
It’s sadly gray here. I don’t envy the shovelling, but I do envy the pretty white snow!
December 21st, 2006 at 2:34 pm
insane! enjoy your white christmas…i have to say, though, i’m NOT at all jealous that wehave no snow!
December 21st, 2006 at 3:59 pm
Wow!!!! That snow looks incredible!
I’m at work today and as it’s casual Friday I am wearing 3/4 length pants, sandals and a short sleeved shirt.
Once we spent Christmas with the in-laws who live in Canada. I thought it sounded fun to shovel snow. It was for about 2 minutes. I was quickly over it. And Christmas with snow instead of sunshine just seemed odd to me, having been brought up with the standard heatwaves over Christmas here.

i am cold just reading this - and thank for the link - will head on over.

Eek. Thatsalotta snow. Apparently you’re getting all of the snow that the North East should be getting. Not that I’m complaining, I’ll leave all the shoveling to Kyle for now.

You have the snow that I crave! But only when I am not driving. When I am safely at home in my warm house, staring at my green lawn, you have the snow that I crave!
December 21st, 2006 at 9:22 pm
That is alot of snow and I admit that I am a bit jealous. we need some here but quick!
December 22nd, 2006 at 1:25 am
This being Denver it will all be melted off tomorrow, right?
December 22nd, 2006 at 8:36 am
That damn snow is keeping my husband stuck 200 miles north of me…. where kids are sick no less. And presents need to be wrapped. And hams need to be baked. And snow needs to be shoveled from MY sidewalks. ARGH!!!
Stay warm. And in case I forget to say it later, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

at least that’s what I hear about you Colorado folks.
or is that just uc boulder?
December 22nd, 2006 at 9:32 am
Dude - that is Boulder. Boulder is like an inland version of Santa Cruz.
And yes - it’ll melt fairly quickly. It’s supposed to get up to 40F today. Better make sure our sump pump is working.

Blog Antagonist and I are down here in our sandals as she said… sorta jealous.
December 22nd, 2006 at 3:44 pm
Um. I’m ashamed of what we call “snow” here now. Holy crap. THAT? Is a lot of snow.
December 26th, 2006 at 7:41 pm
I was hoping for pictures and you did not disappoint! Craig sent us one of a snowmobile whizzing down his street–amazing.
December 27th, 2006 at 2:41 pm
I’m actually jealous. But keep in mind, if that happened here we wouldn’t have to shovel out because the entire world would SHUT DOWN. We’d just wait for the thaw. Which would probably come the next day.
December 27th, 2006 at 2:51 pm
I’m honestly jealous. Here in northeastern Wisconsin it looks more like March than December. Maybe it’s that new snowblower in the garage that’s jinxed us…
December 28th, 2006 at 12:34 pm
Wow and all we got was rain, rain, rain. Kids were so bummed they couldn’t even go play outside. Hope your sun starts shining down on you soon.
December 28th, 2006 at 6:53 pm
I’ve been thinking about you being snowed in! What are the kids eating in those photos? It looks like Tacy is eating a giant bowl of snow, is that right?
January 3rd, 2007 at 3:47 pm
Wow it hasn’t snowed yet in Canada (Toronto) yet, but it has been a tad slippery whilst driving. Global warming has really changed things up here!
