I’m not dead yet
(edited to include greater detail below)
But I’m working on it.
New shutters.
More new shutters.
First snow. Snow is all but gone now. Beautiful, bright sunny days ever since.
Frozen bee. I watched him cling to the screen outside the kitchen window all day, as the sun disappeared and the clouds rolled in and the snow began to fall. I felt no sympathy for him, considering Tacy was stung by one of his yellowjacket brethren – INSIDE THE HOUSE – last Saturday.
And a retching, choking chicken.

I have been in a sour mood all day. No reason, just woke up that way. I needed to hear that, as sadistic as it sounds. It made me feel better! But snow? SNOW? That would be more than I can handle for sure!

The shutters are GORGEOUS! The snow makes me want to curl up in a blankey and weep. And the chicken? Oooh, the chicken….it makes me OH-SO happy!!!

Great shutters! And your snow looks so much better than our snow further south. WET. SLUSHY. MESS.
October 19th, 2006 at 9:26 pm
I was wondering where you were. Snowed in! But the shutters look gorge.

SNOW???! So pretty, but SOOO cold. At least you have some nice new shutters from which to look out at the snow!

Am I the only one intrigued by the frozen bee?
October 20th, 2006 at 6:19 am
I can’t type, I’m laughing so hard. NICE AUDIO.
The shutters are gorgeous. And the snow’s pretty too. The bee? Kinda yucky.

The shutters look so breezy and summery compared to the outside world.
Hang in there!

*shiver*
I am freezing just LOOKING at all that snow!
That poor bee. He seemed to be ill prepared for the early showing of the frosty stuff.
I LOVE the shutters! I had them in my last house. They look great, and they are so easy to keep clean. Beautiful.

Oh my gosh. The snow is beautiful even if it is a bit early!
I’m not ready for snow here and all my friendly neighbors in here in Wisconsin are telling me they can’t wait. These people are nuts.
Is the snow still on the ground? Or has it melted away?
My husband laughed at the frozen bee picture.

I want you to know that I’m showing great restraint by not making a joke about choking the chicken.
Great shutters! I’m totally jealous of them.
October 20th, 2006 at 9:49 am
ack! snow!
i’m SOOOO not ready for winter.
October 20th, 2006 at 5:36 pm
Choking chicken? Or turkey?
Either way, soooo wrooooong.
Sorry to hear about the yellow jacket incident. UGHGHGGHGH!

That snow looks so pretty! I love the new shutters too! I have been wanting some for our basement windows.

I am jealous of your new shutters and your snow. I am not jealous of your little bee friend because I would have done something stupid like try to save him and I would have gotten stung and he would have died anyway because bees are stupid.
Also, choking your chicken like that will make you go blind. At least that’s what the teachers here at the Braille Institute tell me.

I’m with you on the bee thing. I hate bees. I think they should die, Die, DIE, DIE! (end psycho rant)
October 21st, 2006 at 5:16 pm
Ooo! LOVE the shutters! Where did you get them?
October 22nd, 2006 at 4:21 am
Snow already? It looks gorgeous, although I’m glad I’m not driving in it.
October 23rd, 2006 at 9:44 am
I want shutters! Those are fabulous!!!!!!
October 24th, 2006 at 11:36 am
I just want to pop in and say I love the shutters. Some day we will rid our home of our nasty ass cheapo plastic blinds!
October 24th, 2006 at 2:23 pm
We have that damn chicken and it drives me nuts!!!!!
October 24th, 2006 at 8:28 pm
I was just delayed for several hours at an airport, and this kid in a stroller with THAT CHICKEN kept being pushed back and forth, back and forth, in front of me and my friends. “Here it comes again” we said too many times to count.
Oh my. I feel your pain.
(Beautiful shutters and, though early, gorgeous snow.)
