Curiosities
Updated below with up-to-the-minute balloon picture!
Who made my beautiful new banner? Izzy did. (Thanks again Izzy!)
How am I doing on my puzzle? Quite well. (See pictures below.)
How can this balloon – which we took home from a birthday party on Saturday afternoon – still be afloat? I DON’T KNOW. (I swear it’s not glued to the ceiling.)
It floated into Tacy’s room and is hovering just over her bed like a purple UFO.

I’m first! I’m first!
Thanks for the nod. I forgot to send you a button, didn’t I?
That balloon has probably been what they call “high-floated” (which sounds kind of fun doesn’t it?)
We got balloons in August for TQ’s birthday and I was concerned that they would be flat the next day for the party so the lady said she woud “high-float” them for a few extra dollars. Basically, they put something like “Fix-a-flat” in them and they don’t leak. Ours were still completely full a week later.

[...] Mother Goose Mouse has a spiffy new banner…and a balloon that defies the laws of physics. Creepy. [...]

Maybe the balloon is extra thick. Love the new banner. I really need to learn how to make them. Meantime, I’m getting mine from Kristen and John at Fringlements. Check out the new one they did for Halloween.

Your mother-in-law sounds great. Nordstrom’s okay with me. After Andrew left his comment on the post I had to call him and explain who “that guy” in the picture is. I thought that was the funniest of all, that he’s probably the only male on the planet to not recognize David Beckham. Yea, I’m sure people are always confusing the two of them.

Holy crap…is that a picture of my house? Same bannister, doors, light fixture.
Is it a Lennar?

Izzy is the bomb, no doubt about it. I love her designs, and not just because she made my blog look amazing!
I want to do a puzzle now. If I could keep Kaitlyn from eating the pieces.

I heart your new banner. Also, in further mysteries of the universe, we have a Dora balloon we bought on vacation in Florida LABOR DAY WEEK that is still afloat. There must be some sort of new high powered secret agent helium black market.

Hmmm . . it’s a wonder balloon. When you want them to come down, they never will, huh?

The banner looks great. Izzy is a talent!
And the puzzle….wow. that looks HARD. I bet the ocean will be a challenge!

How can you do puzzles? I can only concentrate for about two minutes at a time!

that is one seriously intense looking motherfucking puzzle, dude.

Well, you are further along on your puzzle than I am. It looks like I’m using the same technique as you, so I know I’m at least going in the right direction.
Our balloons are still afloat too. Tacy tied Dylan and Holly’s balloons together, so we have a dual floater. I wonder what the hell they put in those balloons to make them last so long.
Happy Anniversary!

We had one of those psycho balloons in our house a few months ago, and I SWEAR it followed me around the house. (And I wasn’t drinkin, either.)

The banner looks great as does the puzzle…
As for the balloon, I’ve been told that if you are ‘ at peace ‘ in the home a balloon with helium stays longer…
I had a balloon that lasted 6 weeks…And it would scare me half to deathif I got up in the middle of the night.. So much for’ at peace’ theory…
